Welcome to American Article Writer. I have been writing for decades in many different capacities, but this month makes one year the web site has been up and attracting new clients.

Like with many anniversaries, people look back and reflect over the past year. During this past year my wife, Nellee, has helped out considerably and without her help, this past year would have been more difficult, if not impossible, to survive.  She started out editing my work and now she writes a few articles on her own. Without her help I could never meet all of my deadlines, along with many other things.

My longest lasting client and friend, Rich, actually helped me set up this website and I wish to thank him for helping make this a successful business.

There are also two others that have been with me for over a year and they are Mark and Fred.  I wish to let them know just how much I appreciate their business.

This website has seen many visitors. It averages just over 70 a month with most looking at 2 pages. In the past year, 708 visitors have been nice enough to visit with a total of 1733 pages viewed. The visitors came from 35 different countries that brought forth many inquiries.

I do not post many articles anymore because the business has become such a success. I am busy writing for others, which is a good thing. If you would like to discuss your project, please contact me at isovis610@yahoo.com for the fastest response.

When this terrorist act was carried out, the world came to a stop and could not imagine what had happened. I have heard the worthless excuses that there are no innocents because the American people have done nothing to stop the actions of our government. But these same worthless individuals cannot change their own governments why would they think we can change ours.

Once elected, our officials do as they wish for the special interest groups that got them elected. Listening to the people is the last thing on their minds.

Because of this there will be more suicide bombers, and more innocent victims. I pray that the ones at and near the World Trade Center will be the last Americans that will have to suffer in this way.

There will be more suicide bombers I just hope and pray they all fail. Those making a mistake should be easy since they actually think they will be having sex in Heaven and that 50 virgins are waiting for them. The reality is there is a place in hell reserved for them.

To the victims of 9 11, I am sorry you had to endure that awful crime against humanity. To the first responder, you will always be heroes.

My first exposure to the Philippines was back in 1980 when I was aboard a U.S. Naval ship that used Subic Bay as a port of call. Since then I have returned four times. This last time I decided to make it my home away from home.

Escaping the rat race of the western civilization, I have finally been able to relax. After decades of waking before dawn and working till past sundown literally had worn me out.

When I was born in the early 60’s the youth of that day demanded change. What we all lived through was change. Another President was shot, the Beatles became an icon and a political war that cost our nation too many of its youth was raging on. By the end of the century we had even put a man on the moon. Change was all around but most of the change was for more freedom and rights.

As we went into the next decade unions became so powerful they were telling companies what to do and power of the people was strong. Crooked politicians were exposed and consumer fell into mass consumption and self indulgence. By the end of that decade terrorist had taken over 400 American hostages and the world has forever been changed.

The beginning of the 1980’s saw terrorist taking control of the headlines.  Change for the people has been replaced with change or we will kill you.  Since then there have been so many bombings and most are starting to become numb to it.

What effect on the children will this have? I remember a kid that brought a gun to school. He did it to impress a girl. Yes really stupid and he went to jail but nobody died. The youth of today have to face the possibility of dying for just going to school by one of their own that is just had it with life.

This year we are not only having a financial meltdown because of greedy bankers and their institutions but rogue nations are making threats that could end the world. The same nation and people in power of that nation that took Americans hostage 30 years ago are openly making a nuclear bomb. Yes Iran. We also have a nation that invaded its peaceful southern neighbor 60 years ago sending off missiles and they also have a nuclear bomb. North Korea just wants attention.

Yes the world is changing but in my opinion not for the good. I just hope the next generation is not to badly damaged by what is going on and can help steer this world back in the right direction and away from the private interest of a few that have been forced on us all.

Environmental issues have always been a concern of mine and at times I become passionate about them. I became a chemist in an effort to help do my part to improve the environment. As a young man, I was a member of the Youth Conservation Corps in central Illinois. This was in the 1970’s when the Green movement was just beginning.  We did some cleanup work and took tours of different facilities like the waste treatment plant.

I learned that waste water could be purified to the point it was actually cleaner than most tap water. But even the plant operator would not drink it because he knew where the water originated from. The mind has a lot of control over what and how we think about things. Today, most people that live in coastal cities would be surprised to learn that the water from their waste treatment plants is actually being piped directly back into the drinking water that they consume. This is not widely talked about due to the fact that most people would become squeamish at the thought of drinking treated waste water.

With the shortage of fresh drinking water, the fact of recycling waste water has become more prevalent than we would like to know. Worldwide, there is a fresh water shortage. At this time there are arguments about water supplies – from the Colorado River supplying the west coast and the farmers along the way, to the country of Spain where some parts have refused to give or even sell water to other parts of their own nation. Who knows, maybe soon there could be a war just for the right to a fresh water supply.

Environmental issues concern us all. There are just some people that the issue has become more personal. For all of us around the world, there is only one place we can live – mother earth; we should really start taking better care of her.
