Article writing during a typhoon

There are many challenges to article writing during a typhoon for my customers. Most of the time I have complete control over the creative process. There are times like this week when I am at the mercy of Mother Nature.

From May until December is the rainy season in the Philippines. Not only are there numerous typhoons but also monsoon rains. This does put a lot of strain on the utility services. The Philippine electrical company has been reliable and dependable in the years I have been here. There are times I do lose power but I have always been able to meet the deadlines set by my customers.

One of the good things about living in Angeles City Philippines is that America had an airbase here for years. Because of Clark airbase, the surrounding area has benefited with reliable utilities services. Even during storms that have created wind speeds over 100 KPH, the power stays on most of the time.

There are occasional power outages but compared to out lining areas, we have a reliable power supply. Even when I lose power at my home, there are places I can go to write articles that having generators.

There are some times that I am unable to write, like on the weekends. This is when the power company does its maintenance and there is no power. For this reason I generally only write articles on the weekdays.

But writing articles during a typhoon is just a way of life in the Philippines that you just easily learn to live with..
